this week's theme is dance ability, where the contenders needs to show their dance talent and their willingness to learn choreography. this week's homework assignment is for them to perform train's hit song hey, soul sister. this week's guest judge is the first new directions member to grace the show, harry shum, jr. he plays new direction's resident dancer, michael chang. after the contenders performed, the stand outs for him were matheus and samuel. but in the end, it was samuel's control and movement that gave him the win.
this week's music video is mc hammer's can't touch this. for a change, the contenders will be rapping while showing their dancing ability. here is this week's video:
i think this is the worst video of the show so far. this week's bottom three are matheus, mckynleigh and alex. matheus is in the bottom three because of what seems to be his divo attitude and the way he snapped at damian during the shoot. mckynleigh simply faded into the background and her performance is still not in the level the mentors wants it to be. alex, who is the best dancer in the group, just fell short of the expectations and gave an okay performance rather than a great performance. their songs for the last chance recital were:
- matheus - down by jay sean
- mckynleigh - last name by carrie underwood
- alex - i will always love you by whitney houston
in the end, it was time for mckynleigh to go home. i think she does not have the personality to be in the cast despite of superb voice. her biracial features and good voice was not enough to save her this week.
