The long wait is over. Malacanang has released a declaration that indeed, September 1, 2017 is a holiday to commemorate the Muslim holiday Eid;l Adha,

This is the 3rd long weekend in a row this month after Aug 21 (Ninoy Aquino Day) and Aug 28 (National Heroes Day) - both Mondays are holidays.
